Club “Fight” – for box and kick-box
History
It was established in the early 80 ties by a group of athletes and their trainers dedicated their life to box and martial arts. Each one of them has his own achievements before creating the club. In fact the club combines the many years’ training efforts of each one of its establishers. In the beginning the successes are connected with the amateur sport and in consequence with professional appearance. Present The training took place at the National stadium “Vassil Levsky” but because of the reconstruction the groups are now at “VIAS”(Higher Institute of Architecture). The training is three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) from 4 p.m till 6 p.m. The training is carried out by highly qualified trainers both with Bulgarian and International distinction for their work. The athletes even for a very short time, achieve significant progress in technics, and tactics of the fight and also physical performance. Achievements During the years a lot of athletes: amateurs and professionals were trained in the club. The names of Peter Stoimenov (box)- World and European championships, Emil Tonev (kick-box) – two times European champion for professionals, Koko Semerdjiev (professional boxing)29-5-0 (20) are well known to everybody. The club also has participations in National Championships of boxing and kick-box (men and women) and has its successes with the athletes: Roman Tsvetkov, Nona Kumitska, Amalia Koleva, Ivan Atanassov and others. Organization The club is organizing of one of the most attractive nights of professional boxing with big prize fund and qualified boxing. Several times series of gala nights were performed with the participation of the best Bulgarian athletes. Last year Club “Fight” organized the most watched television show “Gladiator” – for kick box, with premium quality fighters and attractive bonuses. Some members of the club control the newly found federation of kick-box. Club “Fight” is member of the following federations: boxing, kick-boxing and tai-boxing. |
